The Victorian Bedroom
The Victorian Bedroom is a popular Dressing Room for brides and bridesmaids but is also available for couples choosing to spend their wedding night at the Hall.
The room features a Victorian four-poster bed which was made in Nottinghamshire and the bedcover is made from 19th Century Nottingham lace. There are also numerous antiques in the room, each with a tale to tell. The colourful china wall plaques are late 19th Century and of German origin and the bureau is French, dating back to around 1860. The Hepplewhite tub chair dates back to 1780 and there are a number of items of papier mâché with mother of pearl inlay. The washstand (c.1835) made from burr maple, mahogany and rosewood inlay came from the estate of Gustave de Franquetot, Duc du Coigny, whose daughter Georgine married Sydney Pierrepont.
The Victorian Bedroom is available for use either as a Dressing Room or for Bed and Breakfast accommodation.
