This small cottage has a double bed, sitting room, shower and kitchen and is available to stay in.
This was the Estate Office for the Holme Pierrepont Estate in the 19th Century and is a Grade II listed building by the architect William Wilkins who designed the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square London. The Estate when sold in 1941 had around 12,000 acres and now we have around thirty with the main house, Holme Pierrepont set in 30 acres of a Grade II Park, and Gardens.
As the cottage is a listed building we decided to retain all the original features so it therefore displays the wear and tear on its panelled walls and doors, tables etc of times past.
